A musical adaptation of the award-winning children's book by Lu Fraser and Kate Hindley, presented by LAStheatre, suitable for ages 3-7.
The Littlest Yak comes to the Redgrave Theatre on Saturday 30 January 2027, with two performances on the day: 11:30am and 2:30pm. It's a musical adaptation of the award-winning children's book by Lu Fraser and Kate Hindley, brought to the stage by LAStheatre.
The story follows Gertie, a little yak who spends her days wanting to grow up and be like the Big Yaks. Along the way, she discovers there are things only a Gertie can do — a story about being perfect just the way you are. It's staged with puppets and catchy tunes that take the audience into the heart of the Himalayas, and the production was nominated for a YAKTASTIC 4 OffWestEnd Award.
It's suitable for all ages, though 3-7 is the recommended bracket. Under-18s need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and children under 24 months require a ticket, though you can add a free 'Lap Seat' to that. The running time is 45 minutes with no interval, so it's a manageable length for younger ones who might struggle with a full afternoon.
