Bristol band SCALER bring their new album Endlessly to The Trinity Centre.
SCALER play The Trinity Centre on Friday 4 December, their first Bristol date since their second album, Endlessly, came out. They're a local band, and this show is built around the new record.
Endlessly was recorded in the studio beneath Bristol's Louisiana and released as their first on the city label Black Acre, following 2022's Void. They describe their sound as electronic-leaning industrial rock, and the set will lean on the new material without letting go of the older songs. If you've followed them since Void, this is the first time you'll hear the new record played out in full.
The venue itself has a bit of a story to it. The Trinity Centre is a converted Grade II* listed former church in East Bristol that's been a part of the city's music scene since the 1970s. It's hosted dub, ska, jungle and the Bristol Sound, with Joy Division, The Specials, Prodigy and Public Enemy among its past acts. Since 2004 it's run as a multi-arts venue and community arts centre, keeping that soundsystem heritage alive with local regulars like Teachings in Dub, Sofa Sound and Timedance alongside live music, theatre, dance and community events. It's a space that's as much about the city's sound as it is about the acts that pass through it.
