An exhibition at Bristol Aquarium that invites visitors face to face with the aquarium's most fearsome creatures, featuring a dangerous animals workshop and craft sessions.
Savage Seas is the new exhibition at Bristol Aquarium on the Harbourside, running from 24 October to 1 November 2026. It brings you face to face with some of the aquarium's most fearsome creatures, the ones known for razor-sharp teeth, venomous spines and some rather surprising defences. It's a term-time activity, so it works well for a family day out during the half-term break.
There's more to it than just looking at the tanks, though. The Dangerous Animals Workshop lets budding marine scientists handle real animal biofacts: a replica shark jaw, a Megalodon tooth, a whale ear bone, a stingray barb, a cone snail and a giant Pacific octopus beak. You can also make your own glow-in-the-dark jellyfish to take home. Daily talks and feeds are included in the visit, and the Bristol Megascreen—the former Bristol IMAX—is still the largest screen in the city.
If you're around for the rest of the period, there's a couple of other things happening. R.I.P Tide is an Aquarium After Dark night for over-18s, where the ghosts of a ship lost in Bristol harbour roam the corridors. There's also a Halloween silent disco billed as Bristol's biggest ever, running across both the aquarium and We The Curious with music from the 80s, 90s and 00s.

Savage Seas is included in the aquarium ticket price, so you don't need a separate booking for it. The aquarium is on Anchor Road, Bristol BS1 5TT, right on the Harbourside.
