Film screening of 'Primetime' at Watershed as part of the 'Scares at the Shed' programme, with audio description and descriptive subtitles available.
Primetime screens at Watershed on Tuesday 3 November, starting at 17:40. It's the narrative feature debut of director Lance Oppenheim, and it puts Robert Pattinson in the role of Chris Hansen, the host of To Catch a Predator.
If you're not familiar with the show, To Catch a Predator was a mid-2000s sting series on Dateline NBC. The format was simple: adult decoys posed as teenagers and lured men to a suburban house, where Hansen would then confront them on camera. The film takes that premise and puts Hansen himself at the centre of it.
It premiered in competition at the Venice International Film Festival, where it earned Pattinson some of his best reviews to date and where Phoebe Bridgers made her acting debut. The world premiere was met with much acclaim, so this is one of the first chances to see it on a big screen here in Bristol.
