Film screening of Ink, directed by Danny Boyle, part of the BFI London Film Festival on Tour 2026.
Danny Boyle's new film Ink screens at Watershed on Tuesday 13 October at 20:30. It's a preview showing, part of the 70th BFI London Film Festival on Tour 2026, which is bringing 14 previews from the main Festival line-up to Bristol and the South West in its biggest year yet.
Ink dramatises a seismic moment in Rupert Murdoch's Fleet Street career. In 1969, Murdoch acquired the British tabloid The Sun and hired editor Larry Lamb to turn its fortunes around — a 'devil's pact' that would change British journalism and society forever. Boyle brings the story to life with the kinetic energy of a piece torn straight from the headlines, and the film stars Guy Pearce and Jack O'Connell.
