Audio-visual show set to the remastered soundtrack of The Dark Side of the Moon with 360-degree visuals in the Planetarium.
Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon is playing at The Planetarium on Friday 6 November, as part of a series of autumn sessions. It's the full album paired with 360-degree visuals that wrap around you inside the dome, and the whole thing is built for a planetarium rather than a stage.
The audio has been freshly remastered by James Guthrie and Joel Plante of das boot recording, who describe it as richer and deeper than ever. The imagery comes from the award-winning team at NSC Creative, working with the band's long-time creative director Aubrey Powell. Each song carries its own theme, some looking forward and others nodding back to the band's visual history, all tied together by the time and space experience that only a planetarium can do.
It marks more than 50 years since The Dark Side of the Moon first came out, and the visuals bring its themes of time, space and technology to life around you. Doors open 20 minutes before each session, and there's a bar on site. Access includes a hearing loop, limited wheelchair spaces you can book in advance, and a free personal assistant ticket.
