Exhibition of nature-inspired mixed-media prints and paintings by Bristol artist Olga Raychell at Grain Barge, with food and drink available in the cellar.
Olga Raychell brings her latest work to Grain Barge this autumn, with the exhibition opening on Wednesday 14 October and running through to Monday 30 November. It's a Bristol artist showing in a Bristol venue, and the whole thing is free to visit, so you can drop in whenever suits you over the next few weeks.
Raychell's work is inspired by nature, and this particular collection takes its cue from the trees across the city. It's a mix of mixed-media prints and paintings, and the focus is on light, texture and the changing seasons. If you've spent any time walking through the city's parks or along the river as the leaves start to turn, that's exactly the kind of thing she's working with here.
Because it's a mixed-media show, you'll see a few different approaches side by side: the prints and the paintings together. The prints bring their own set of textures, and the paintings let her play with light and colour in a different way, so there's a bit of variety to look through rather than one single style repeated across the walls.
