Concert by New Zealand rock band NO CIGAR, supported by Frank On Tap, at Thekla in Bristol.
NO CIGAR play Thekla on Friday 27 November, one of their Bristol dates on a run that takes them across mainland Europe and the UK throughout October and November 2026. They're a five-piece from Auckland, New Zealand, and this is their biggest tour to date.
They've put out three studio albums in four years: Bienvenido in 2022, The Great Escape in 2023, and Under The Surface in 2025. That latest one has a bit of a story to it — it was largely written in Chantilly, just north of Paris, where the band spent their time rehearsing, writing and recording while touring Europe in 2023, before they finished it back home with producer Connor Jaine. The line-up is Willy Ferrier on lead vocals, Josh Morrice-Scott and Arthur Gillies on guitar and backing vocals, Sam Benson on bass and Ned Gow on drums. They're known for high-intensity live shows, and this tour is their most extensive one yet.
