25th anniversary family-friendly screening of the sequel at the Planetarium as part of the Bristol Film Festival.
Jurassic Park III is coming to The Planetarium on Friday 18 December, as part of the Bristol Film Festival's 2026 programme. It's a 25th anniversary screening of the third instalment in the series, and it runs from 18:15 to 20:15.
If you've seen the first two, you know the territory: dinosaurs, chaos, and people trying to survive them. The festival describes this one as the entry that eschewed theme park politics and corporate greed in favour of a more back-to-basics, B-movie, run-for-your-life approach. It also introduced one of the scariest creatures in the entire franchise, so if you're into the more visceral side of the series, this is the one that leans into it. It's billed as a family-friendly screening, which means it's a good shout for a night out with the kids if they're old enough for the jumpy bits.
The Planetarium at We The Curious is the festival's home for space and science fiction, and the 2026 programme is built around those genres. There's a Space exhibition to explore before the screenings, so you can wander through that before you settle in. We The Curious itself is a science and arts centre and educational charity in Bristol, home to the state-of-the-art Planetarium and over 200 interactive exhibits, so there's plenty to do around the venue if you're arriving early.
