Film screening of Bad Apples, directed by Jonatan Etzler, starring Saoirse Ronan, with audio description.
Bad Apples is screening at Watershed from Thursday 15 October, and it runs through to Saturday 17 October. It's directed by Jonatan Etzler and stars Saoirse Ronan, who's been nominated for an Academy Award four times. This particular screening includes audio description.
Ronan plays Maria, a primary school teacher whose career is threatened by an unruly and chaotic student, which leads her to make a series of bad decisions. The film is loosely based on Rasmus Andersson's debut novel De Oönskare. It was filmed at The Bottle Yard Studios and on location across the South West, and it features Bristol legends Amy Mason and Alice Lamb alongside Ronan. Director Jonatan Etzler gives a pre-recorded introduction at every screening, except for those with Descriptive Subtitles.
