London singer-songwriter Alice Costelloe performs live at the Exchange in Bristol, with support from Eva Penney.
Alice Costelloe plays Exchange on Friday 16 October, presented by DHP Family. She's supported by Eva Penney.
Costelloe is a London-based singer-songwriter who first made her mark as half of the shoegaze duo Big Deal on Mute Records, and she previously played live bass for Superfood. She stepped out on her own in September 2023 with her debut solo EP, So Neurotic, released under the name Al Costelloe. In 2024 she signed to the cult UK label Moshi Moshi and put out a second EP, When It's The Time.
The set will draw from her debut album, Move On With The Year, which came out in February 2026. It's a ten-track art-pop record produced by Mike Lindsay — of Lump and Tunng — in his Margate studio. On the record, Costelloe trades guitar solos for mellotron, taishogoto and flute lines, and the songs draw on a complicated parental relationship and unresolved grief.
