A night of post-grunge, rock and grunge featuring A Void, Witch Hook and The MEDZ at The Lanes.
A Void headline The Lanes on Friday 16 October, with Witch Hook and The MEDZ supporting. It's a triple bill put on by Gravy Train and BLG Promotions, and it's for over-18s only.
A Void are a London alt-grunge trio born in Paris and led by Camille Alexander, whose razor-sharp vocals and jagged guitars are backed by bassist and drummer Freya and Lu. They're the main draw of the night, taking the stage at 21:15.
Before them come two Bristol bands. Witch Hook are a DIY grunge and gothic punk outfit who've been working the southwest underground circuit since 2021, drawing on 80s post-punk and 90s grunge; they cite Placebo, The Cure, The Kills and Nick Cave as influences. They play at 20:30. Opening the night is The MEDZ, a Bristol alt-post-punk three-piece who formed in mid-2025 and recently supported The Subways on their Loud & Unplugged tour. They're on at 19:45.
