A Burt Lash Cabaret

Burt Lash hosts A Burt Lash Cabaret at The Gaffe Comedy Club on Friday 6 November, with Kerry Mibagg headlining in her Bristol debut. The Gaffe is billed as Bristol's home of drag comedy, and this night leans into everything cabaret has to offer: dazzling drag, side-splitting comedy, live music and burlesque, with glittering queens, daring kings, hilarious comics and cabaret stars sharing the stage. The bill promises camp, chaos and big songs.

Lash himself is a drag king and a Drag Idol 2025 National Finalist. He was nominated for the Bristol 24/7 performing arts newcomer award in 2026, and the praise he's picked up along the way gives a good sense of what he brings to the stage: the British Comedy Guide called him 'a genuine highlight', Chortle described his work as 'laugh out loud musical comedy', and Baga Chips summed it up with 'you're a lyricist!'. He'll be hosting the night, so he's the one tying the different acts together.

That means the evening is more than just one person's set. With Mibagg making her Bristol debut as the headliner, the night pulls from across the cabaret spectrum — drag, comedy, live music and burlesque — and fits them all into one bill. It's the kind of night where you get a few different styles on one stage rather than just one act.

It runs from 21:00 to 23:00 at The Gaffe Comedy Club, 20 Wine Street, Bristol, BS1 2BD.
