A Grade I listed neoclassical mansion built in the 1760s, Marlborough House is considered one of Brighton's most significant historic buildings. Originally constructed for Samuel Shergold and later owned by the Duke of Marlborough, it was extensively remodelled by the renowned architect Robert Adam. Over the centuries, it has served as a royal residence, school board headquarters, and council offices.
