Post-punk duo Young Knives perform live at Concorde 2 in Brighton, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album 'Voices of Animals and Men'.
Young Knives are scheduled to perform at Concorde 2 in Brighton on 9 December 2026. This show is part of a 14-date UK tour marking the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Voices of Animals and Men. The band, formed in 1996 by brothers Henry Dartnall and Thomas Bonsu-Dartnall—who were originally known as The House of Lords—gained recognition with tracks such as 'Here Comes The Rumour Mill' and 'Weekends And Bleak Days (Hot Summer)'. Their debut record, which was produced by Andy Gill of Gang of Four, earned a Mercury Music Prize nomination and established their presence in the post-punk and art-rock scene. The upcoming performance will feature support from the trio Hot Face.

Regarding entry requirements, the event is restricted to those aged 14 and over. Concorde 2 will host the performance as part of the band's wider schedule across the country.
Known for their approach to post-punk and art-rock, the duo has maintained a distinct style throughout their career. Their work often leans into what has been described as an 'awkward outsider' aesthetic, which has been a consistent element of their live shows since they began performing. Given the focus on the 20th anniversary of their first album, the setlist is expected to reflect the sound that defined their early career. This event provides an opportunity to see the band perform in a local setting, following their established tour route through the UK.
