A curated botanical banquet and wellbeing retreat featuring seasonal plant-based dining, adaptogens, and communal reflection.
Wild Roots are bringing The Intentional Table to PLATF9RM in Hove Town Hall on Monday 31 August, the August Bank Holiday Monday. It's a botanical banquet that they describe as more than a supper club — a retreat for the soul. The whole afternoon runs from 12:00 to 16:30, so it's a long, slow lunch that takes up a good chunk of the day.
When you arrive, there's a wellbeing market of small, curated traders to wander through, and you'll be handed a botanical welcome drink. From there, everyone gathers for a guided opening meditation and a food blessing, which sets the tone before the meal itself. The centrepiece is a four-course plant-based banquet built around seasonal produce, functional ingredients, adaptogens, herbs and medicinal mushrooms, all served communally. The food is positioned as medicine and the gathering as a form of care, with moments of storytelling and reflection woven between the courses. It finishes with a cacao dessert ritual and a grounding practice to bring you back down.
