Webber! The Musical

Webber! The Musical comes to The Lantern Theatre on Sunday 7 February, with the curtain going up at 19:30. It's a musical about the life and choices of Andrew Lloyd Webber, and it's billed as the bawdiest, funniest and bravest one to ever take on the subject. It's built a following as a bonafide fringe hit, so it's not just a one-off — it's a show that's been playing to audiences and finding its feet along the way.

It's a tight hour, running for 60 minutes, and it doesn't hold back. The production is recommended for audiences aged 16 and over, and there are content warnings for strong language, sexiness and references to Margaret Thatcher. If you're bringing someone who's a bit more sensitive to that sort of thing, it's worth keeping in mind before you book. One reviewer summed it up by saying it should run longer than Cats, which is a fair bit of a wink given who the whole thing is about.

If you're planning to go, The Lantern Theatre is at 77 St James's Street, Brighton, BN2 1PA. Standard tickets are £10.00, which is a guide price, and the show starts at 19:30 on Sunday 7 February.
