Italian-Irish comedian Vittorio Angelone brings his stand-up show 'You Can't Say Nothing Any More' to Brighton, exploring themes of upbringing, cancel culture, and the role of comedians in modern society.
If you have been following the comedy circuit for a while, you might have noticed that Vittorio Angelone has been keeping busy. The Italian-Irish comedian, who grew up in Belfast, is bringing his third stand-up show, titled 'you can't Say Nothing any more', to Brighton this autumn. He is scheduled to perform at the Corn Exchange on Saturday, 19 September 2026. It is part of a wider tour he is undertaking across the UK and Ireland throughout September and October.

For those familiar with his previous work, including his co-hosting duties on 'Mike & Vittorio's Guide to Parenting' and his involvement in 'Fin vs The Internet', this new hour seems to continue his tendency to dissect specific cultural topics. In this show, Angelone focuses on his upbringing in Belfast while looking at the current landscape of comedy. Specifically, he explores the concept of the 'culture of offence' and the expectations placed on comedians to act as activists. He spends time questioning whether performers are actually obligated to use their platforms for social good, all while trying to figure out where the proverbial pendulum currently sits regarding the so-called Culture War.
It is worth noting that despite his success—including a nomination for Best Newcomer at the 2022 Dave Comedy Awards and several sold-out runs in 2023 and 2024—Angelone has maintained a bit of a running joke about denying any real involvement in stand-up comedy. If you are planning to attend, tickets are currently available, with prices ranging from £18 to £34.62 depending on the specific booking source and seat selection. The venue has set an age restriction for the show, noting that anyone under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. It is a straightforward setup for a Saturday night if you are interested in seeing how he tackles these particular themes live.
