An eclectic dance music night presented by Vicious Charm, featuring Damian Harris, Balearic Mike, Steve KIW and Niamh.
Vicious Charm are hosting another one of their parties at A L P H A B E T on Friday 2 October, with Damian Harris, Balearic Mike, Steve KIW and Niamh taking turns on the decks. It's an 18+ night, and the whole thing is presented by Vicious Charm, so it's their name on the door and their selection running the room.
They describe the night as an eclectic selection of dance music, which is a fair way of putting it. Rather than sticking to one particular sound, the four DJs pull from across the board, so you'll hear a fair bit of ground covered over the course of the evening. It's built for dancing, though, so the focus stays on the floor rather than the headphones.
A L P H A B E T is an audio-led venue and Hi-Fi pub on Dyke Road, and that's a useful bit of context for a night like this. It's a space that puts the sound system first, so if you're the kind of person who cares about how the music actually hits the room, it's a good spot to be. The party runs from 22:30 until 02:00, which gives the four of them plenty of time to work through their records without having to rush the set.
