Underground music night with heavy selections by Dreadnaught, Stillz, Mynx, Vincy, Nexus and more at Patterns.
Underground Audio take over Patterns on Saturday 7 November, their first event since launching as a label. It's a late one, starting at 23:00, and it's presented by Patterns, so the venue is right behind it. They've billed the night as "underground sounds and heavy selections," which gives you a fair idea of the territory they're working in.
The line-up is built around a series of pairings and collaborations rather than a sequence of solo sets. Dreadnaught plays with Style One, and MC Stillz is on the bill. Mynx and Gui share a slot with Xader, while Vincy, Bridey and Mackz come together with Dizzy and Franko Nexus. It's a full deck of names, and the way they're grouped suggests the night is as much about the pairings as the individual DJs.
Because it's the label's debut, this is the first time you'll hear what Underground Audio is actually about. The "heavy selections" part of the description points towards a night that leans into the weightier end of the underground, rather than anything light or easy. It's a long night, too — starting at 11pm means the bulk of it will run well into the early hours.
