A dance night at Quarters featuring The Trip, Tiffany Quinn, Walsii, Ned Spencer, Asa Ray and Nost.
The Trip headline Quarters on Saturday 22 August, part of an Uncut Jams dance night that runs from 23:00. The Trip is the DJ and production project of Max van Dijk and Oliver Hiam, and their sound pulls from UKG, progressive, tech house and house from the '90s onwards, woven into a sample-heavy style. It's the kind of thing that works as well in a club as it does on a record, and that's probably why it's found its way into the bags of DJs like Palms Trax, Moxie, Avalon Emerson, Shanti Celeste, Sally C, Eliza Rose and Ben UFO. They've had a fair bit of airtime on BBC Radio 1 too, with Sarah Story calling them the 'DJ's Producer'.
After a string of sold-out shows in 2025, they've promised a mix of original and collaborative releases, so this is one of those nights where you'll hear their own stuff alongside the records they're digging from. It's a good way to get a feel for how they're working these days.
They're not the only ones on the bill. Tiffany Quinn, a resident DJ, producer and radio host, takes the main support slot; she's shared lineups this year with Todd Terry, Dan Shake and Sally C. The rest of the night is held down by local Brighton selectors Walsii, Ned Spencer, Asa Ray and Nost, so it's a full run of DJs rather than just a headliner and an opener. Between them, they'll cover plenty of ground before the night winds down.
