Live tribute performance of Queen classics by the UK Queen band at Komedia Brighton.
UK Queen are playing Komedia on Sunday 20 December, their first time at the venue. They're an international tribute band that's been performing Queen live for more than 20 years, playing theatres, festivals and events across the world. This year alone, UK Queen have performed in Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark and Finland, with an upcoming tour of South Korea as well as an appearance at Cyprus Rocks. The show is a two-hour live hits extravaganza of the band's classics.
They describe their approach as capturing the spirit, musicianship and audience connection that made Queen one of the greatest live bands of all time, built on huge vocals, live piano, guitar, harmonies and spontaneous interaction. Rather than simply recreating the songs, they aim for that same energy. They're billed as one of Europe's best tributes to Queen and Freddie Mercury.
Komedia is one of Brighton's best mid-sized venues, praised by audiences for its outstanding acoustics and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It's their first time playing here, so this is the first chance to see them in the city. If you're looking for something a bit further afield, they're also playing The Royal Hippodrome in Eastbourne on Saturday 7 November, with doors at 19:30 and the show running for about two hours.
