UEFA Conference League: Brighton and Hove Albion vs Monaco

Brighton & Hove Albion take on Monaco at The Amex on Thursday 10 December, kick-off at 8:00pm. It's a UEFA Conference League fixture, and for the home side, it's part of a return to European football they've been working towards for a while.

They're back in Europe for the first time in three years, after beating Norwegian side Tromso 4-0 in the second leg of the Conference League play-off. The first leg had ended goalless, so it all came down to that second match — one manager Fabian Hurzeler called a 'do or die' game. Getting through that meant a spot in the group stages, and this match against Monaco is one of the fixtures that follows.

It's only the second time the club has played in a European competition. The first was the 2024 Europa League, where they reached the last 16. By qualifying for the Conference League, they also become the fourth English side to win a place in the competition, following West Ham in 2023, Chelsea in 2025 and Crystal Palace.

There are a couple of changes to the matchday setup worth knowing about. The home atmosphere is being expanded with new sections in the South Stand, and there's a new discount for 21-24 year-olds that brings their ticket price down to match the under-21 rate.
