Stand-up comedy show by Tom Glover, the UK's TikTok sensation, on his first national tour.
Tom Glover brings his first national tour to Komedia on Wednesday 19 May, with the show titled Did You See That Reel I Sent You?. He's billed as the UK's most unlikely TikTok sensation, and the title points right to where he started: those short reels that have reached millions of people across the world. This is his first big tour since that online following took off, so it's the first time he's taking the material from the screen to a proper stage.
The set draws on marriage, parenting and growing up in the 90s—the kind of stuff that works well in a room. The critics have been on board, too. Chortle called him 'a firm audience favourite', and The Skinny compared him to James Acaster, saying he builds 'layer upon layer of laughs'. Ed Fringe Review pointed to his crowd interaction and ad-libbed jokes, predicting a strong future for the fresh-faced comic. It's in the Komedia Basement, 44-47 Gardner Street, BN1 1UN. The room is unreserved cabaret seating, so you'll be at a table rather than in a row of chairs. The show is for ages 16 and over. Doors open at 7:00 pm, with the show starting at 8:00 pm. Tickets are £18.00.
