The Wolfgang Press and Paul Kendall are playing The Green Door Store on Saturday 10 October. It's a double bill with both names on the poster, and they'll be sharing the night rather than one opening for the other.

The Wolfgang Press were a mainstay of the 4AD label, moving from the post-punk of their early records into the dance-inflected, groove-heavy sound they became known for in the late eighties and nineties. Paul Kendall was a key part of that, and seeing them together on one bill brings the two halves of the story into the same room.
The venue is The Green Door Store, tucked into the arches at 4 Trafalgar Arches, BN1 4FQ. It's a proper Brighton spot, right in the heart of the city, so it's an easy one to get to whether you're coming from the centre or heading in from the lanes. Tickets start from £22, and since it's a Saturday night, it's the kind of gig that works as a standalone or as the start of a proper night out in town.
