Album release party for The Serfers' debut LP 'DEBT SOUNDS' with support from pocket and self torque at The Prince Albert, strictly 18+.
The Serfers are playing The Prince Albert on Sunday 29 November, with pocket, self torque, and Regal Cheer on the bill. The night is presented by Sugar-Free Records, the label behind the headliners, and it's a release party for The Serfers' debut LP, DEBT SOUNDS, which is out now. They're Brighton's self-styled saltwater-punks, and the music sits somewhere between garage rock and punk.
The support adds a few more records to the mix. pocket are new Bristol punk rockers featuring members of Gnarwolves, Fresh and Bangers. self torque are a Brighton punk rock three-piece whose own debut album, A Brutal Nadir, is also out now via Sugar-Free. And Regal Cheer are a Brighton punk two-piece they describe as having a short attention span. There are special guests on the bill too, so it's a full run of bands rather than just a couple of openers.
Between the two new albums and the other acts, the whole night stays in the garage-punk territory. The Serfers' DEBT SOUNDS and self torque's A Brutal Nadir are both out now through Sugar-Free, so there's plenty to listen to before the show. The Prince Albert is on Trafalgar Street, and the room holds around 100 people, so it's a small one. It's strictly 18+, and the music runs from garage rock through to punk.
