Open mic night of new material at Artista, with headliner Michael Fabbri, in a 16+ environment.
The Secret Comedy Club Tuesdays is back at Artista on Tuesday 15 December, running from 20:00 to 22:30. It's an open mic night run by The Secret Comedy Club, and the bill for this one features Michael Fabbri.
If you've never been, here's the deal: it's a new-material night, which means the acts on the bill are there to road-test new and developing material rather than polish off a set they've done a hundred times. The club bills it as the leading new-material night on the South Coast, and it's exactly that — a room where comedians work through their latest bits in front of a live audience. The line-up is a mix of professional, semi-professional and amateur acts, so you'll hear a range of experience on the same stage.
Artista is an independent venue in The Lanes, and the night is part of a wider Secret Comedy Club series that also stages sessions on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Because it's an open mic, the atmosphere is built around the room being supportive rather than critical; the club enforces a strict no-heckling policy to keep things friendly and fun for everyone involved.

Tickets are £6.50, and it's a 16+ event. The organisers ask you to arrive 15 to 30 minutes before the show starts, and they don't offer refunds for late arrivals, so it's worth getting there a bit early to make sure you don't miss anything. The night runs from 20:00 to 22:30 at Artista, 42 Brighton Square, BN1 4HD.
