Stand-up comedy night at The Secret Comedy Club, an intimate venue in Brighton with a strict no-heckling policy.
The Secret Comedy Club is back with its Friday night run at Artista, 42 Brighton Square, starting 9 October 2026 and running through to 1 October 2027. It's one of the few clubs in the city that goes every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and it describes itself as Brighton & Hove's premier intimate comedy venue — a safer, friendlier alternative to the larger rooms. It picked up the Audience Choice Award for Best Fringe Venue in 2021 and has been staging stand-up for around five years.
The format is simple: a new line-up, a new headliner and a new MC every single week, so it's a different night each time you go. They book award-winning headliners from stage and screen alongside up-and-coming UK names, and household names aren't uncommon in the room, dropping in to soak up the atmosphere or road-test new material. There's a strict no-heckling policy, which keeps the focus on the stage rather than the crowd.

For the night on Friday 16 October, the line-up is Sam See, Lucas Jones Ho, Jack Henry and Stephen Carlin. Doors open at 7pm, with two shows running that evening — one at 8pm and another at 9:30pm — so you can pick the slot that suits you best. Entry is £25 on the door, and they warn that space is very limited, so it's worth getting there early if you're not booking in advance.
