Weekly stand-up comedy night at the intimate Artista venue, known for its friendly atmosphere and no-heckling policy.
The Secret Comedy Club is back on Friday 14 August at Artista, 42 Brighton Square. It's part of their regular Friday night run, which continues with shows on 21 and 28 August, then through September and into October. The club bills itself as Brighton & Hove's only grassroots comedy club running five nights a week, and as the city's friendliest independent venue — it won the Audience Choice Award for Best Comedy Club and was voted Best Brighton Fringe Venue by the audience.
Every Friday brings a fresh line-up, a new headliner and a different MC, so no two nights are the same. The shows run in a cosy, intimate room at the Artista venue, and they maintain a strict no-heckling policy, which has earned them a reputation as a safer, friendlier alternative to the larger rooms around town. It's a 16+ club, so it's open to a good range of ages.
