The Secret Comedy Club runs every Friday at Artista, located at 42, Brighton Square. It is recognised as the smallest comedy club in Brighton and has previously won the 'Audience Choice Award' for Best Fringe Venue. The club operates as an alternative to larger, busier venues, focusing on creating a direct connection between the performers and the audience. It is an 18+ event.

The Friday night format is consistent. Doors open at 19:00, and there is a 'super secret happy hour' running until 19:30. The show itself begins at 20:00 and finishes at 22:30, with the venue closing at 23:00. Each week features a headliner, four support acts, and an MC. The club hosts a mix of established UK circuit comedians and emerging talent. Past performers have included Dane Baptiste, Sean Walsh, Paul McCaffrey, Zoe Lyons, Henning Wehn, Fiona Allen, Tim Renkow, Marlon Davis, Ian Stone, Esther Manito, Simon Evans, Loiso Gola, Jen Brister, Phil Nichol, Steve Hughes, Chloe Petts, Nathan Caton, MC Hammersmith, Jo Wilkinson, Amy Gledhill, Alison Spittle, Phil Kay, Craig Campbell, Ali Woods, Maisie Adam, Al Lubel, Adam Bloom, Carey Marx, Jeff Innocent, Tyrone Hawke, Sean Collins, Jack Skipper, and Isaac HP.
To keep the environment focused on the comedy, the club maintains a strict 'no heckling' policy. Tickets start at £11.00 and go up to £22.00, with discounts available for students, NHS staff, Blue Light cardholders, Blue Badge holders, and those on Access, UC, JSA, or Pension Credit. If you decide to turn up on the night, tickets are £25.00, though this is subject to availability if they have not sold out online or if there are last-minute cancellations. They do not offer refunds for late arrivals or for anyone asked to leave due to interruptions.
