Free entry single release concert by Brighton indie/blues rock quartet The Roebucks, celebrating their new single 'He’s My Man' at The Hope & Ruin. 18+ event.
If you're looking for something to do next month that won't break the bank, mark your calendar for Thursday, February 12, 2026. Brighton quartet The Roebucks are hosting their single release party for ‘He’s My Man’ at The Hope & Ruin, located at 11 Queens Road. The best part is that entry is completely free. The event runs from 7:30 pm until 10:00 pm, but remember it’s strictly 18+. The Hope & Ruin is a staple of the local grassroots music scene, known for its commitment to being dog friendly and offering an entirely plant-based bar menu, plus quick bites from Beelzebab.

This show, titled FREE ENTRY SINGLE RELEASE and presented by Goo Records, celebrates the launch of their new track, ‘He’s My Man’, which officially drops just two days prior on February 10th. The Roebucks have been around since 2022, but their sound really solidified with the addition of drummer/vocalist Sophie Moloney in early 2024. They deliver an idiosyncratic take on indie/blues rock—a style that can shift between being 'woozy and tender' and 'earthy and visceral'. They’ve already built up a solid reputation, having received radio support from figures like Cerys Matthews on BBC 6 Music and John Kennedy on Radio X, alongside appearances at festivals like The Great Escape, Mutations, and Black Deer. If you head down, you’ll also catch support from Telecom.
The band signed with Goo Records in October 2024, and this release seems to be part of a bigger push. They’ve stated that 2026 is about getting 'louder, faster and dirtier,' with a UK tour planned for the spring and a full album scheduled for early 2027. Given their history of short UK tours and festival slots, including Left Of The Dial in Rotterdam, this free show at a familiar local spot is a good chance to see where they are heading before they potentially ramp up their touring schedule.
