A 90-minute spectacle featuring classical musicians performing iconic Rock and Metal anthems in an ethereal candlelit setting.
If you are looking for something a bit different to do in Brighton this autumn, The Rock Orchestra is bringing their new show, Arena of Fire, to the Brighton Centre on Friday, 30 October 2026. It is a 90-minute performance that takes a collection of well-known Rock and Metal anthems and rearranges them for a classical ensemble. The group consists of 14 musicians, including both instrumentalists and vocalists, who perform in a setting designed to be candlelit, with the addition of fire effects and pyrotechnics.

The setlist covers a broad range of bands, so you can expect to hear tracks from artists like Metallica, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, Pantera, My Chemical Romance, Linkin' Park, System Of A Down, Guns N' Roses, Evanescence, Papa Roach, and The Cranberries. It is an interesting contrast to hear these specific genres played by a classical orchestra, and the production leans into that atmosphere with the stage setup.
Doors open at 18:30 for the show. If you are planning to go, tickets have been on sale since 30 January 2026, and there is a limit of 10 tickets per booking. The venue, the Brighton Centre on Kings Road, is the largest purpose-built events space on the South Coast, so it should be easy enough to find. Regarding age restrictions, anyone under 14 years old needs to be accompanied by an adult. It is a straightforward setup for a Friday night if you are interested in hearing these rock classics in a different format.
