The Music Of Wes Anderson Performed By Wes Banderson

Wes Banderson brings The Music Of Wes Anderson to Komedia on Friday 19 February, a night dedicated to the scores and soundtracks of Wes Anderson's films. It's a five-piece ensemble taking on the original music and the deep-cut needle-drops that run through his work, with live visuals running alongside the set.

The repertoire pulls from across Anderson's career, from Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums to The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, Moonrise Kingdom, The Darjeeling Limited and Fantastic Mr. Fox. That means the band is working through a wide range of composers: Mark Mothersbaugh, Alexandre Desplat, Sven Libaek, Shankar-Ehsan-Loy and Maurice Ravel. The ensemble switches instruments as they move between soundtracks, so you'll hear the different styles side by side rather than as separate segments.

There's a bit of a visual side to it too. The five musicians take the stage dressed in Team Zissou uniforms, and the live visuals run throughout the show. It's a standing show for ages 14 and over, with under-16s needing to be accompanied by an adult.
