Jamie Clarke presents his new indie-folk and country project 'The Man The Myth The Meatslab' at The Prince Albert, featuring support from Morgan Harper-Jones.
On Monday, 9 March 2026, The Prince Albert will host a performance by The Man The Myth The Meatslab, the current musical project of Jamie Clarke. If you follow emerging indie-folk or spend much time on TikTok, you’ve likely seen his work gaining momentum over the last year. Jamie Clarke, who travelled over from Indianapolis and is now signed with the Mutual Friends label, uses this project to explore a blend of indie-folk and country. The songs are designed to capture small but significant life moments, taking quite a bit of inspiration from the atmospheric styles of Bon Iver, Japanese Breakfast, and Alex G. It’s a specific sound that seems well-suited to the upstairs room at the venue on Trafalgar Street.

This stop in Brighton is part of the "i almost graduated tour", which also includes dates in Manchester and London. There is a bit of an unusual backstory to the music; Clarke’s recent output, including the EP "The Chronicles of Gerald Womack", was partly inspired by a chance encounter with a physics professor. This influence carried through into his 2025 singles, "Infinite" and "Crushed", which helped establish the project's reputation for storytelling. For the live show, Morgan Harper-Jones is scheduled as the support artist, adding another layer to the evening's indie-focused lineup.
Regarding the practical side of things, the event is scheduled to start with doors at 20:00 and should conclude by 23:00. Tickets have been on the market since 12 December 2025, with standard prices listed at £14.65, though some secondary platforms have them priced up to £29. It is a fairly accessible opportunity to see an artist whose career has been heavily shaped by digital platforms, bringing those recordings into a physical venue. The timing and location make it a standard weeknight show for the local scene, aimed at those who appreciate the more alternative, folk-leaning side of the current touring circuit.
