The Jam'd perform an authentic tribute to The Jam at Concorde 2, featuring a brass section and guests Sharp Class, Cian Downing, and The Hornets as part of the Brighton Mod Weekender.
If you are looking at the calendar for the upcoming August Bank Holiday weekend in 2026, the Brighton Mod Weekender is already taking shape with a dedicated night for fans of The Jam. On Friday, 28th August, Concorde 2 on Madeira Drive will host The Jam’d, a tribute act that focuses heavily on the technical accuracy of the original band's performances. They bring along their own brass section and use a replica of Rick Buckler’s famous ‘Great White’ drum kit, aiming to recreate that specific 1980s energy rather than just playing the hits. It is a central part of the 'The Jam Special' programming for the weekend, fitting right into the local Mod culture that Brighton is known for.

The evening starts relatively early, with doors opening at 17:00. This allows enough time for a fairly packed bill of supporting artists before the main performance. You can expect sets from Sharp Class, who lean into power-pop and punk, as well as Cian Downing and The Hornets, who bring indie and rhythm & blues influences to the stage. Because it is a longer session, there will be food stalls and vans available at the venue, so you won't have to head back into the centre of town if you get hungry between sets. It makes the transition from the afternoon's activities on the seafront to the evening's music a bit more seamless.
As for the venue itself, Concorde 2 maintains its reputation as an old-school club with a 600-person capacity, offering decent visibility of the stage from most spots. Tickets are currently being quoted at a few different price points; some guides list them at £25.20, while the venue’s own information suggests £22.00 plus the usual management fees. If you are planning to go as a group, keep in mind the age restrictions: it is a 14+ event, and anyone under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult. It is a solid option for those who appreciate the heritage of the Mod scene and want a night out that feels authentic to the city's musical roots.
