Irish indie pop legends The Frank & Walters perform a full-band show at Dust, supported by Oldfield Youth Club and local favorites Amelia & The Housewives.
On Saturday, 30th May, The Frank & Walters are returning to Brighton for a show at Dust on East Street. This visit is a bit different from their previous appearance here, as they are performing with their full four-piece line-up rather than the duo format they have used in the past. The band, originally from Cork and formed back in 1989, consists of founding members Paul Linehan and Ashley Keating, joined by Rory Murphy and Cian Corbett. They have maintained a steady presence in the indie-pop world for decades, though many might recognise their hit "After All" from its recent resurgence on the soundtrack of the series The Young Offenders.

The night is structured with a fairly early start; doors are set to open at 19:00, and the music begins at 19:20. There are two support acts on the bill that provide a mix of established and new talent. Oldfield Youth Club will be performing, featuring Simon Rivers from Bitter Springs alongside Neil Palmer and Kim Rivers. Their approach is a leaner, more punchy take on Rivers' songwriting. They are joined by Amelia & The Housewives, a local Brighton band that only started out in May 2024. They have quickly become a fixture in the local scene, often described as a "chaotic Abba" due to their energetic take on indie-pop.
Tickets for the event are available for £27.50, which covers the £25.00 face value plus the booking fee, and can be found on platforms like WeGotTickets. Since the venue is located at 77 East Street, it is a central spot for a Saturday night. It is a straightforward opportunity to see a veteran Irish alternative band alongside some newer local faces. Given the schedule, the transition between the three acts will likely be quite quick, so arriving close to the door time is the best way to see the full line-up as it unfolds.
