A live concert by the Sheffield-based ukulele band The Everly Pregnant Brothers, known for their humorous and eclectic renditions of popular songs.
If you are looking for something a bit different to do on Saturday, 2nd May 2026, The Green Door Store is hosting a double-header that covers both art and music. The Everly Pregnant Brothers, a ukulele band from Sheffield, are bringing their set of eclectic and humorous covers to the venue. They will be performing in the evening, but the space will be occupied earlier in the day by an exhibition from the band’s founder, the artist Pete McKee. It is a practical way to spend a Saturday, with the venue located right under the arches on Trafalgar Street, specifically arches 2, 3, and 4.

The exhibition, titled 'The Boy With A Leg Named Brian', runs from 12:00 until 17:00. It focuses on McKee’s childhood during the 1970s and 1980s, featuring various anecdotes and cultural references from that era. It is open to everyone, there is no need to book a slot, and entry is free. It is a chance to see some of McKee’s work before the venue shifts gears for the evening performance. The exhibition aims to reflect on shared experiences of growing up in the UK during those decades, using personal memories to frame the display.
Once the doors reopen for the concert at 19:30, the focus shifts to the music. The band will be playing tracks from their latest album, 'Never Mind The Ukes, Here's The Brothers'. Tickets for the show are priced at £17.50, and they go on sale on 2nd February at 10:00 AM through Seetickets.com. While the support act for the evening is yet to be announced, the main performance will feature the band's signature style of humorous renditions. The Green Door Store is situated at BN1 4FQ, making it accessible for those already in the city centre. Whether you are interested in the art exhibition during the afternoon or the live music in the evening, the venue provides a space for both activities throughout the day.
