The renowned Cambridge University sketch comedy troupe brings their annual international tour show to The Lantern Theatre.
The Cambridge Footlights are coming to The Lantern Theatre on Thursday 10 September, part of their annual international tour. If you've never come across them, they're the student sketch troupe from Cambridge University, and they've been doing this for decades. The Independent once called them 'the most renowned sketch troupe of them all', which gives you a rough idea of the pedigree they're working with.
Every year they put together a new show and take it on the road, and the Brighton date is one stop on a wider UK tour. The format is pretty straightforward: five of Cambridge's best student comedians on stage with a brand-new set of their funniest sketches. It's a fresh show each year, so if you've seen them before, this is a different batch of material. The whole thing runs for about an hour, which is a decent length for a sketch night—long enough to get through a good number of bits without overstaying its welcome.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Brighton and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's recommended for ages 14 and over, so it's not something you'd bring small children to, but it's well within the range for a night out with friends. The show starts at 7:30pm at The Lantern Theatre, 77 St James's Street, BN2 1PA, and tickets are £10 to £12, with a booking fee per transaction.
