The Brighton Bash Carnival: The Second Wave takes over the Komedia Basement on Saturday 25 July, the official afterparty to the Brighton BASH Carnival. It's the late-night extension of the carnival, moving the celebration indoors and carrying it well into the early hours.
On the decks, DJs will be on rotation throughout the night, spinning reggae, dub, afrobeats, and hip hop, alongside sounds from across the diaspora. The organisers describe it as a strictly positive-vibrations celebration, aimed at a dancefloor full of Black joy, unity, and community spirit. If you've spent the day out at the carnival, this is where the party continues.
There's a clear purpose behind the ticket, too: all proceeds go directly to BARCO, the Black Anti-Racism Community Organisation. They work across Brighton & Hove to celebrate Black culture and tackle anti-Black racism, so your entry goes straight into that work. It's a night that's as much about the community it supports as the music it plays.

It's held in the basement of Komedia, at 44-47 Gardner Street, BN1 1UN. Tickets are £10 in advance and rise to £15 on the day, so it's worth getting yours sorted early if you're planning to be there.
