A live musical and audio experience celebrating the 75th anniversary of the BBC Radio 4 drama series The Archers, featuring cast members and sound effects.
The Archers are stepping out of the studio and onto the stage at the Brighton Dome on Sunday 15 November, as part of a national tour marking the 75th anniversary of the BBC radio soap. The show is set at the Ambridge Flower & Produce Show, so it's built around the sort of village fair chaos that usually happens in the background of the series. It's a commercial production by Fane, licensed from the BBC.
What you'll get is a mix of live performances and a bit of a trip through the archives. Vanessa Nuttall will be doing the sound effects live on stage, and there'll be highlights from the BBC archives, a Bull Pub Quiz, and a chance to sing along to the show's famous theme tune. The whole thing wraps up with a Q&A session with the cast. It's a bit of a celebration of the show's history as much as it is a live performance.
The cast includes Angela Barnes as host and superfan, Timothy Bentinck as David Archer, Charlotte Martin as Susan Carter, Ben Norris as Ben Archer, and Annabelle Dowler as Kirsty Miller. Their appearances are subject to availability, so keep that in mind if you're going for a particular face.

It's at the Brighton Dome Concert Hall on Church Street, running from 19:30 to 21:30 with a 20-minute interval. Doors open at 18:45. Tickets are £39.50, £49.50, and £59.50, and Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival members save £2 on the full price. It's for ages 14 and over, so anyone under 14 needs to be accompanied.
