Tatty Macleod: Things My Mother Did (Tour Preview)

Tatty Macleod brings her new show, Things My Mother Did, to Komedia on Thursday 17 September, a tour preview that takes its starting point from a single viral moment. Back in August 2025, Macleod posted a video of her 73-year-old mother digging a trench; the clip took off, and 'DIY Liz' became an internet sensation with 25 million views. This year, Tatty turns the same age her mother was when she had her, and the stand-up works its way through that particular milestone.

From there, the show reviews her mother's life choices against her own and asks the age-old question: 'Am I becoming my mother?' It's the kind of thing that starts as a joke and ends up as a bit of a proper look at family, aging, and the things we inherit from our parents without really noticing. As a tour preview, it's a first look at the material she's developing for the road.

It's a 16+ show, and seating is unreserved, so if you're keen on a particular spot, it's worth getting in a bit early. The night runs at Komedia Studio, inside Komedia at 44-47 Gardner Street, BN1 1UN. Doors open at 7:30 pm, and the show starts at 8:00 pm. Tickets are £10 standard and £8 concession.
