Award-winning sci-fi parody musical, a UK nationwide theatre tour show, based on the Netflix series Stranger Things.
Stranger Sings! is coming to Ironworks Studios this December, with five performances running from the 5th through to the 19th. It's an award-winning sci-fi spoof and parody musical by Jonathan Hogue, billed as a wild and irreverent twist on the Netflix series Stranger Things. If you've seen the show, you'll know it's less a faithful adaptation and more a love letter to the era it's poking fun at.
The staging leans heavily into the show's 80s DNA: thick synth, dancing demogorgons, and plenty of pop-culture references, all threaded through a strong feminist twist. It's a musical that doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's where the fun is. It started off-Broadway and then played a three-month sell-out run in London before heading out on this UK nationwide theatre tour, so it's had a fair bit of time to find its feet before it reaches Brighton.
Behind the scenes, Jonathan Hogue wrote the book, music, and lyrics, and it's produced by The Vaults. Ellis Kerkhoven directed it, with musical supervision by Adam Gerber and choreography by Lucinda Lawrence. That's a good amount of creative weight behind a show that's essentially a big, synth-heavy joke about a show we all know.

It's playing at Ironworks Studios, 30 Cheapside, BN1 4GD, on the 5, 11, 12, 18, and 19 December, with each performance running from 20:00 to 23:59. If you're a fan of Stranger Things and don't mind seeing it run through a musical filter, these are the dates to keep in mind.
