A 10-member band recreates the iconic Talking Heads concert film 'Stop Making Sense' live, performing all the songs featured in the original production.
Slippery People are bringing Stop Making Sense to Concorde 2 on Saturday 3 April, part of a UK tour running through 2026 and 2027. They're a ten-piece band, and the whole night is built around recreating the Talking Heads concert film of the same name.
If you're not familiar with it, Stop Making Sense came out on 19 October 1984, directed by Jonathan Demme and starring Talking Heads. It's widely regarded as one of the greatest concert movies ever made, and that's exactly what Slippery People are working from. They're not just playing a few Talking Heads songs; they're recreating the film live, performing all the tracks that featured in the original production. That includes the ones most people know, like 'Psycho Killer', 'Burning Down The House' and 'Once In A Lifetime'.
Because they're a ten-member band, they can match the full sound of the original film, which was a big part of why that particular era of Talking Heads stood out. The tour is taking the show across the UK throughout 2026 and 2027, so this is one of the dates they're bringing it to the south coast.
