Concert by the psychedelic rock band Spiritualized, presenting their album 'And Nothing Hurt' at the Brighton Dome.
Spiritualized play the Brighton Dome on Tuesday 6 April 2027, with the show running from 19:00 to 23:00. They're touring And Nothing Hurt, their eighth album and the first since 2012's Sweet Heart, Sweet Light.
That gap tells you something about how the record came together. Jason Pierce, who goes by J.Spaceman, conceived and recorded it almost entirely on his own in an upstairs room of his home in Whitechapel, East London. It's a solitary way of working, and the artwork reflects it: Mark Farrow's sleeve shows a lone figure in interplanetary protective gear walking across unmapped terrain. The music follows that same solitary line, and the tour brings it out of that room and onto the stage.
If you're coming to this as a newer listener, it helps to know where it sits. And Nothing Hurt is the latest in a long discography that includes Lazer Guided Melodies, Amazing Grace, Songs in A&E, Let It Come Down, Pure Phase and The Complete Works Vol. 1. The set will lean on the new material, but those earlier records provide the context for what they've been doing all these years.
