A fun and friendly cricket session for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, run by the Grace Eyre Foundation in partnership with Special Olympics.
Special Olympics Cricket is running at Moulsecoomb Leisure Centre on Wednesday 19 August and Wednesday 26 August, both sessions starting at 1:30pm. It's a couple of afternoons of cricket for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, run in a relaxed environment by a Sussex Cricket coach. If you're someone who needs 1-1 support, you'll need to be accompanied by a parent or carer.
The sessions are run by the Grace Eyre Foundation, which works closely with Special Olympics and oversees the coordination of Special Olympics Sussex, the local charitable branch of Special Olympics Great Britain. Together they run community sports programmes across Sussex, providing a pathway from those just starting out in a sport to those wanting to compete at local, regional or national level. Special Olympics Great Britain is a non-profit organisation and the largest provider of year-round sports training and athletic competition in summer and winter sports for children and adults with a learning disability.
