Award-winning family-friendly sketch comedy show by Rachel and Ruby, the follow-up to their first successful kids' show.
Rachel and Ruby bring SHELF: The Kids Show 2 to Brighton Dome on Saturday 24 October, a family-friendly sketch comedy show that's back by popular demand. It's the follow-up to their first award-winning sketch show, so if you've seen the first one, this is the next chapter.
The duo have a bit of a track record behind them. They won Best Kids' Show at the 2023 Leicester Comedy Festival / UK Kids' Comedy Festival, and they've performed at The Southbank Centre, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Girl Guides UK. The work has picked up four-star ratings from The Guardian, The Scotsman, Skinny, Funny Women, Beyond The Joke and Chortle, so it's a safe bet for a family afternoon out.
This particular show is part of the Brighton Dome Comedy Festival 2026, and it's captioned, which is a handy detail to keep in mind if you're bringing a group with different needs. It's suitable for ages six and over, so it's aimed at families with younger children rather than the toddlers' crowd.
