Stand-up comedy show by Irish comedian Shane Daniel Byrne, his most personal show to date.
Shane Daniel Byrne brings his new show Baby This Time to Komedia on Wednesday 19 May 2027. It's a stand-up hour about what makes a man who can't make a baby, and it's being billed as his most personal show to date.
Byrne arrives with a bit of a reputation behind him. Tommy Tiernan has described him as someone who 'storms a room', and the critics have been on his side for a while: David O'Doherty called him 'my favourite new Irish comedian for many years', and the Irish Examiner named him 'my favourite', with reviews regularly landing four and five stars. If you've not come across him yet, that's the kind of track record he's working from.
As for the show itself, the title gives away the territory. It's a stand-up hour centred on the experience of not being able to have children, and from the description, it's the most personal material he's taken to the stage so far. It's a specific, human subject for a comedian who's built a name on filling a room.
