Sennen Timcke - Earthly Delights

Sennen Timcke plays The Folklore Rooms on Tuesday 24 November, with the set starting at 8:30 pm. It's a debut album launch, so the night is built around Earthly Delights, the first full-length record he's put out.

Timcke is an alt-folk singer-songwriter, and the songs he's been playing lately have earned him a fair bit of attention. BBC Introducing described them as 'gorgeously atmospheric', and that's a good place to start if you're trying to get a feel for what he does. The songs are heartfelt and poetic, and he's a deft performer, so the writing and the playing sit on equal footing.

Live, he channels the raw honesty of 1970s British and American folk music, and this date serves as the launch of Earthly Delights. Since it's an album launch, the set will be drawn from the new record, and you'll be hearing the songs as they're meant to be heard: live and in the room. If you've been following him, this is the first time the whole collection comes together in one go.

It's a Tuesday night at The Folklore Rooms in Brighton, starting at 8:30 pm.
