Seasick Steve performs solo from his Just Steve, A Guitar and You Tour in support of his album Blues in Mono.
Seasick Steve plays the Brighton Dome on Thursday 25 March 2027, as part of his Just Steve, A Guitar and You tour. He's performing solo, which is exactly what the tour title suggests: just him and his instruments on stage, no backing band. The Brighton date is one of a run of headline shows across the UK in support of his latest album, Blues in Mono.
If you're not familiar with how he works, Steve is an American bluesman who backs himself on a two-stringed guitar, a wooden box and other handmade instruments. The two-string guitar is his trademark, and he's known for building his own gear rather than buying it off a shelf. He's playing the new material from Blues in Mono on this tour, so you'll hear the latest songs in the same stripped-back format he's always used.
There's a bit of a milestone behind this run of dates, too. He's celebrating 20 years since he was discovered on Jools Holland's Hootenanny, and he describes the tour as marking that journey and his love for the island that adopted him. It's a long way from that first appearance, and the solo setup keeps the focus on the songs and the playing rather than the production around them.
