Stand-up comedian Sandro Ford brings his debut tour 'Lager Than Life' to Brighton, exploring modern masculinity and British pub culture.
Sandro Ford is bringing his first tour, Lager Than Life, to Brighton this autumn. If you’ve spent any time listening to the Problematic Pub Podcast or caught his appearances on Have A Word and Dead Men Talking, you’ll likely know what to expect from his delivery. He’s been a regular fixture in the comedy scene for a while, but this debut tour marks his first proper solo run across the UK and Ireland. The Brighton date is set for Tuesday, 22nd September 2026, taking place at Komedia, which remains one of the more reliable spots in town for a mid-week show.

The show’s content leans heavily into the realities of British pub culture and the nuances of modern masculinity. It’s essentially a collection of stories about nights that get a little out of hand and the self-inflicted chaos that usually follows. Sandro has a reputation for being quite honest and self-aware on stage, avoiding the more polished or artificial style of some mainstream acts. This particular set has already earned some decent feedback from critics, with Fringe Review highlighting his straightforward and funny perspective on everyday life and the social habits many of us recognise.
In terms of the setup, the event will be held in the Komedia Basement. They are sticking with their usual cabaret-style seating, which is unreserved, so it’s usually a good idea to arrive early if you have a preference for where you sit. Doors open at 19:00, with the performance starting at 20:00. It’s a fairly standard schedule for the venue, allowing enough time to get a drink and find a table before things kick off.
Tickets are currently listed at £17.50. If you happen to be heading there with a group, the venue offers a couple of discounts: you can use the code GROUPDISCOUNT6 for groups of six or more, or GROUPDISCOUNT10 if there are ten of you. One thing to note is the age restriction; while the tour is generally aimed at those 16 and over, the venue follows a 'Challenge 25' policy, so anyone who looks under 25 will need to show ID. It’s a practical option for a Tuesday night if you’re into comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously and focuses on the more relatable, messy parts of adulthood.
